BLOCKING/STRAPPING

OEG Blocking/Strapping is commonly used as bracing for studs with depths greater than 6". The bracing prevents stud rotation and minor axis buckling under wind and axial loads. It is also effective where knockouts are not aligned. Blocking/Strapping is field cut to suit the requirements.

SPECIFICATIONS

Available in the following gages: 20ga structural (33mils), 18ga (43 mils), 16ga (54 mils), 14ga (68 mils) and 12ga (97 mils)

Available with width ranging from 2” to 10”.

Available with lengths of 10’.

Custom sizes are also available.

BACKING PLATE

OEG Backing Plate is a multipurpose component used in various applications to support shelves, cabinets, and handrails etc. when applied to metal framing. Backing Plate should not be used for the purpose of lateral or diagonal bracing.

Available in 25 gage and 25 gage.

Available with width ranging from 2” to 12”.

Available with lengths of 10’.
